Brown Boxes

Info
This is an acoustic song, but with drums. It's about me having nightmares about moving back to my parents house, since I was unemployed and quickly running out of money. I got a little self-indulgent at the end, with the 1 minute long dueling Ebow solo, but it's so awesome!! Seriously, though, check it out. I think my singing started to sound a little better with this song. Reviewers compared this one to Alice in Chains, probably because of the guitar playing and funky harmonies.

Lyrics

pack up
move out
your home is nothing
but empty rooms

take apart
put away
everything you had
is in pieces

brown boxes
full of memory
drive across this
bitter country

postcards
left behind
from places
you won't ever see

photographs
faded now
of times when
we were together

brown boxes
full of memory
drive across this
bitter country

i'm giving up
going home
going back in time
to be a boy
at ease again
gathering my strength
for one more chance
at life

wake up
fade in
you still have time
to save yourself

Etc.
Two acoustics rhythm guitar tracks, one acoustic lead, one electric echo-y part during the choruses, a couple of ebowed electrics, bass and drums, and a couple vocal tracks.
