Info
This song was the first one I wrote using someone else's lyrics. I took some
lyrics that fighter Abecedarian posted to the Lyrics Marte, and set out to
write a song with a non-standard structure. No verse-chorus-verse-chorus-bridge-verse-chorus
for me this time! I also wanted to mix up the dynamics a lot and have more
different layers of instruments than usual. I think it turned out pretty good,
except for the singing, which isn't my strongest. I only got one vote, but this
one is liked on somesongs. Some day I'll clean up the vocals...
Lyrics
Lyrics by Abecedarian Adapted by Lunkhead Hello From out here in space In the soft orange glow Of a dying sun Hello From out here in space In the soft orange glow Of a dying sun Who would ever believe That the sun would go away And the Earth destroyed And the Earth destroyed We are all that's left, of anything Is all that's left, of everyone We are all that's left, of anything We are all that's left Hello From out here in space In the soft orange glow Of a dying sun Alone Out here in space In the soft orange glow Of a dying sun So peaceful in death Who would ever believe?
Etc.
I tried to add quite a few different tracks to this, some which only appear once or twice.
If I recall correctly, there's 1 track of acoustic rhythm guitar, bass and drums, a track of
electric slide guitar with reverb and delay, a lead electric guitar track, a slide acoustic
track, an electric rhythm track, and one main vocal, one harmony vocal, and one other little
vocal bit.
